Medium: Oil Painting, verso wood panel has the stamp of the Bundesdenkmalamt, the Austrian Federal Cultural Heritage & Symbol of Vienna's oldest seal.

NOTES

This rare painting is 1 of 2 famous portraits depicting Duke Rudolf IV "the Founder" from the House of Habsburg (1339-1365).  The other portrait is on permanent display in the Dom Museum Wien, Vienna.  It is considered the oldest, most realistic portrait in the Western World and probably created in 1360.

Verso wood panel has the stamp of the Bundesdenkmalamt, the Austrian Federal Cultural Heritage & Symbol of Vienna's oldest seal.
